At the beginning of our start up were I and Michael thinking about one thing:
How do we name our company?
The name which is short and says to our customers that the great thing about our products is, that they are made from wood......
The word Knarr is Old Norese term, that was spoken by inhabitants of Scandinavia, durring the Viking Age until about 1300. Knarr is perfectly built wooden ship, which was used by the Vikings on their Atlantic trips for transporting goods. Ships type Knarr were very successful, because all it took for their operation was a smaller crew.
Our products are very similar to these ships, which were designed with a high emphasis on functionality, durability, reliability and ease of use.
After reading and evaluation of all information about ships Knarr, we decided to name our brand Knarr.
Just say Knarr, Knarr, Knarr. We love that double “rr” at the end of word Knarr. We believe that it sounds great :)
